Best-known for his wry and witty drawings, David Shrigley’s artistic practice extends well beyond drawing to include photography, sculpture, neon signs, animation, painting, printmaking, publishing and music.
Pass the Spoon, A ‘Sort-of Opera’, the illustrated libretto to the opera of the same name, is written by Shrigley and features TV chefs June Spoon and Philip Fork, a manic-depressive egg and a host of other surreal characters. The libretto is published on the occasion of a series of performances taking place at Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre, and the Southbank Centre, London.
Featuring 10 brand new illustrations and original text, this is the first-ever libretto written by David Shrigley and a truly unique addition to the popular titles already available on this acclaimed artist.
